DUBLIN – The United Nurses Association (UNA) Ireland, in partnership with Blue Chip, is set to host a major celebration in honour of International Nurses Day 2025 on May 10th. The event, taking place at St. Mark’s GAA Club in Springfield, Dublin 24, will run from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, bringing together nurses, families, and community members for a day of appreciation, entertainment, and cultural celebration.
The highlight of the event will be the presence of Indian Ambassador to Ireland, Akhilesh Mishra, who will attend as the chief guest, recognising the invaluable contributions of nurses—particularly from the Indian diaspora—within the Irish healthcare system.
The event promises a lively and family-friendly atmosphere with a range of cultural performances, children’s entertainment, fun games, and a live DJ set by Cloud 9, known for energising crowds with upbeat music. A major culinary attraction will be the authentic Indian lunch catered by Royal Caters, a favourite among the Irish Malayali community for its flavourful South Indian cuisine.
In a country where healthcare professionals—especially international nurses—play a vital role, this event stands as a testament to their dedication and service. It also reflects the growing visibility and cultural integration of Ireland’s Indian and Malayali communities.
Entry to the event requires advance booking, and those interested are encouraged to secure their spots early due to high expected turnout.
