Eurostar has suspended all train services between London and Paris after an unexploded Second World War bomb was discovered near the tracks in France.
The disruption has affected thousands of passengers, with the cross-Channel operator cancelling at least 10 services on Friday morning. Eurostar has confirmed that no trains will run between the two capitals for the rest of the day.
Photos from Gare du Nord in Paris show long queues of stranded travellers, while large crowds have gathered outside the check-in area at London St Pancras.

The discovery of the bomb, found around 4 a.m. in the Saint-Denis area north of central Paris, has also impacted road traffic in the city as bomb disposal teams work to safely remove the device.
French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot reassured the public, stating that there is “no fear” of an explosion and that safety procedures are in place. While unexploded bombs from the First and Second World Wars are frequently found in France, it is rare for one to be discovered in such a densely populated area.
