DUBLIN, IRELAND — A man has died and five other people were hospitalized following a fatal road traffic collision on the N7 Westbound at Rathcoole, Co Dublin, on Friday evening.

The crash, which involved a truck and two cars, occurred at approximately 6:40 p.m. The male driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been taken to the mortuary at Whitehall, where a post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted.

The five other individuals involved in the collision were transported to a hospital to receive treatment for their injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed for a period while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examined the scene, but it has since reopened to traffic.
