The celebration marks a significant occasion for the Bengali and wider Indian diaspora, bringing together families and friends to honor Goddess Durga and celebrate the triumph of good over evil. The organizers, who have been a cornerstone of the community for nearly a decade, cordially invite all to join in the festivities.
A key highlight of this year’s event is the special ‘Gujarat’ theme. This promises to offer a unique cultural experience, showcasing the vibrant traditions, music, food, and artistry of the Indian state of Gujarat. Attendees can expect a festive atmosphere infused with the rich heritage of the region.
While the organizers encourage attendees to secure their tickets in advance for organized programs and events via Eventbrite or their official website, they have emphasized that Darshan
—the act of reverent viewing and worshipping of the deity—will be free and open to everyone. This ensures that the religious and spiritual core of the festival remains accessible to all devotees.
The Ireland Durgotsav Committee looks forward to welcoming community members and well-wishers from across the country for five days of puja, cultural exchange, and celebration.
