Cork, Ireland—A Ryanair flight traveling from Faro, Portugal, to Dublin was forced to divert to Cork Airport this afternoon due to the disruptive behavior of a passenger on board.

Following the unscheduled landing, a man in his 30s was removed from the aircraft by An Garda Síochána (Irish Police) and subsequently arrested.

  • Incident: The flight was diverted after the airline crew became concerned about the passenger’s conduct.
  • Arrest Details: A Garda spokesperson confirmed the man was arrested under the Air Navigation and Transport Act 2022.
  • Detainment: The man is currently detained at a Garda station in County Cork, and investigations are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Cork Airport confirmed that the aircraft, after the incident was resolved, continued its journey to Dublin at 2:27 pm.
