Technical Glitch Hits National Lottery Lotto Draw
The National Lottery Lotto draw on Saturday, October 25, was disrupted by a technical glitch during its live stream when the bonus ball failed to drop. Operator Allwyn confirmed the issue and apologized for the delay, stating an alternative draw machine was used under independent supervision to complete the process. The incident follows a similar EuroMillions glitch earlier in October.
Despite the highly anticipated £10.5 million quadruple rollover jackpot, no ticket-holder matched all six main numbers (04, 09, 28, 40, 42, 59) to claim the top prize. However, one player successfully matched five numbers and the bonus ball (55) to win £1 million. The next estimated Lotto jackpot, for Wednesday’s draw, is set at £12.3 million. The Thunderball live stream was also affected by the technical failure.
