DUBLIN — Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Counties Cork and Kerry, which will remain in place for a 24-hour period, expiring at 9am tomorrow morning.
The warning, first issued at 9am this morning, cautions residents and travelers about the potential for:
- Localised flooding
- Poor visibility
- Difficult travelling conditions
The public is advised to exercise extreme caution on the roads throughout the warning period.
This rain alert follows the expiry of earlier wind warnings across other parts of the country. A Status Yellow rain and wind warning for counties Dublin, Louth, Waterford, Wexford, and Wicklow expired at 5pm this evening. Separately, the UK Met Office’s Status Yellow wind warning for the six Northern counties—Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Derry—expired at 7pm.
