Sligo-based company Outcrop Ltd has been honored with the Sustainability Award at Ireland’s Creative Expo, Showcase 2025, held at the RDS, Dublin. Their innovative product, the ‘Local Spots, Round Landscape Map,’ earned widespread acclaim for its eco-friendly design and local inspiration.

The achievement comes as Showcase celebrates its 50th anniversary, marking five decades as one of Ireland’s premier international trade shows. This event provides a platform for manufacturers, designers, and craft makers to present their latest collections to an audience of 3,500 buyers from Ireland and across the globe.

As the largest inter-agency tradeshow of the year for the craft and design sector, Showcase is spearheaded by Design & Crafts Council Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, and Local Enterprise Offices, with support from the Department of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment. It has established itself as a key event in the calendars of buyers worldwide.

The Sustainability Award highlights Outcrop Ltd’s commitment to eco-conscious innovation and puts Sligo on the map as a hub for sustainable design. The company’s success is a testament to Ireland’s growing emphasis on environmentally responsible craftsmanship.

Showcase 2025 continues until Tuesday, January 21, at the RDS Dublin, offering trade visitors an exclusive opportunity to explore ground-breaking creations from Ireland’s talented designers and artisans. This internationally recognized event is pivotal in promoting Irish craft and design to global markets, supported by Enterprise Ireland’s network of overseas offices and Local Enterprise Offices nationwide.
