The Dublin Bus depot on Conyngham Road was evacuated this morning following reports of a suspicious device. The precautionary measure was taken after Gardai were alerted to the incident. Upon investigation, the device was deemed non-suspicious, allowing staff to return within half an hour.

A Garda spokesman confirmed, “Gardaí received a report of a suspicious device at a premises on Conyngham Road, Dublin 8. The device was discovered to be non-suspicious. No offences disclosed.”

A Dublin Bus spokesperson emphasized the company’s commitment to safety: “The safety and well-being of our employees and the surrounding community is always our top priority. The depot is now fully reopened and operational.”

This incident highlights the importance of vigilance and swift action in ensuring public safety. Despite the false alarm, the quick response by both Gardai and Dublin Bus demonstrates effective coordination and emergency handling.
