Waterford: The Waterford Malayali Association, a prominent organization serving the expatriate Malayali community in Waterford and its surrounding areas for the past 17 years, has announced its new leadership team for the 2025-2027 term. The newly elected committee held its first meeting following the association’s annual general meeting, where key office bearers were appointed.

The meeting, chaired by former president Anoop John, Shiju Sasthamkunnel was elected as the President, while Rahul Raveendran was appointed as the Secretary.

Other key appointments include:

  • GB Joseph – Vice President
  • Ronnie Samuel Thomas – Joint Secretary
  • Nirmal Alex & Royce P Varghese – Treasurers
  • Jaya Prince – Malayalam Mission Coordinator
  • Geethu Manosh – Cultural Section Coordinator
  • Johnson P Sunny – Sports and Games Coordinator
  • Vipin John Thomas – Youth Wing Coordinator
  • Shaju Jose – Media Coordinator

The association also confirmed its executive committee members: Anoop John, Bobby Ipe, Sabu Isaac Mangalassery, Alex Thomas, Suresh George, Neetu John, Sam John Koshy, and Jomichan Alex. Additionally, Melbin Thomas was appointed as the auditor.

During the meeting, the newly elected leadership team reviewed the association’s past activities and laid out plans for future initiatives to further engage the Malayali community in Waterford. The committee emphasized the importance of collective support from the expatriate community to ensure the success of upcoming events and programs.

The Waterford Malayali Association continues to play a vital role in preserving cultural heritage, fostering community spirit, and supporting the well-being of Malayalis in the region.
