Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2 was evacuated this morning after a security alert. The alert happened at 11:30am on Saturday.

All passengers and staff had to leave the terminal as a safety measure. Airport operator daa said passenger and staff safety is their top priority.

(GardaĆ) are now at the airport dealing with the situation. Airport officials moved everyone to safe meeting points outside the terminal.

The evacuation may cause flight delays and cancellations. Daa told passengers to check with their airlines for updates on their flights.

“Flight operations may be temporarily impacted,” the airport said in a statement. They asked travelers to follow airport staff instructions.

Daa thanked passengers for being patient during the disruption. They promised to share more information as soon as they can.

The airport has not said what caused the security alert. Terminal 1 appears to be operating normally.

This is a developing story. Passengers traveling through Dublin Airport today should expect delays and check their flight status before traveling.
