A Status Yellow Fog Alert has been issued by Met Éireann for the counties of Sligo, Leitrim, and Donegal, warning residents to prepare for reduced visibility this evening and overnight.

The weather alert comes into effect from 6 PM on Saturday, with patches of fog and freezing fog expected to develop and thicken as the night progresses. This advisory remains active until 9 AM on Sunday morning.

Met Éireann has cautioned that the foggy conditions will significantly reduce visibility, posing potential risks for motorists and pedestrians alike. Residents in the affected areas are urged to exercise extra caution while traveling or engaging in outdoor activities during this period.
