DOHA — The bodies of those killed in Tuesday’s Israeli attack on a residential building in Doha were laid to rest today, including a Qatari Internal Security Force officer and members of Hamas. The funeral prayer was held at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque, followed by burial at Mesaimeer Cemetery.

The surprise airstrike, which occurred around 3:30 p.m. local time on Tuesday, targeted a building in the diplomatic area of Lagtafiya where members of the Hamas political bureau were residing. The attack resulted in the deaths of six individuals and injuries to security officers and civilians.

Among the deceased were Qatari Internal Security Force officer Al-Humaydi Al-Dosari, Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khalil al-Hayya’s son Hamam Khalil al-Hayya, and four other Hamas members.

The Qatari Ministry of Interior has officially confirmed the deaths of four people, including the Lakhwiya officer, based on forensic and technical evidence. A search for two missing individuals is ongoing. Authorities had earlier stated that human remains were found at the attack site.
