Gardaí have launched an appeal for witnesses following an armed robbery that occurred at a hotel in Dublin’s north inner city yesterday afternoon.

The incident took place at the hotel located on Sheriff Street, Dublin 1, at approximately 4:20 PM yesterday.

A lone man entered the premises, brandished a weapon, threatened the staff, and managed to steal a sum of cash before immediately fleeing the scene. Authorities confirmed that fortunately, no injuries to staff or members of the public were reported during the robbery.

Gardaí have stated that investigations into the matter are ongoing and are actively appealing to the public for assistance. They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who was in the Sheriff Street area at the time of the incident (around 4:20 PM yesterday afternoon) or anyone who may possess information relevant to the robbery.

Members of the public are urged to contact Store Street Garda Station on (01) 6668000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
