Gardaí Appeal for Information Following Burglary in Waterford City

WATERFORD CITY — Gardaí in Waterford have launched an investigation into a burglary that occurred in the city in the early hours of Thursday, October 23rd.  

The incident of forced entry and theft took place shortly after midnight at a property on Ignatius Street.  

A Garda spokesperson has indicated that investigators are particularly interested in two male suspects believed to have committed the burglary. The description of the men is as follows:  

  • Suspect 1: May have been wearing a peaked hat.  
  • Suspect 2: Was reportedly seen holding an orange coloured tool.  

Gardaí are appealing to residents of Ignatius Street and the surrounding areas, as well as any passing motorists, who may have witnessed the two men in the vicinity around the time of the incident to come forward. Investigators are particularly keen to review any available CCTV or dashcam footage.  

Appeal for Witnesses: Anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, is urged to contact Waterford Garda Station directly at 051-305300. Alternatively, confidential reports can be made via the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.
