DUBLIN, Ireland — An investigation has been launched by An Garda SÃochána into the alleged rape and sexual assault of three women and a teenage girl at a sports centre in the south-east of the country. The investigation began after three adult women presented themselves at a garda station, collectively alleging they were all victims of multiple sexual assaults.
According to sources close to the investigation, the women reported that the alleged perpetrator was a male who held a senior position at the sports centre. The allegations have sent shockwaves through the local community, which has a long-standing relationship with the popular sports facility.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed that an investigation into serious sexual offences is underway. “We are treating these allegations with the utmost seriousness.
