LONDON: West Midlands Police are urgently hunting a white male suspect after the “racially aggravated” rape of a woman in her 20s in the Park Hall area of Walsall on Saturday. The victim is believed to be of Indian heritage, with the Sikh Federation UK quoting local sources that she is a Punjabi woman.
Detective Superintendent Ronan Tyrer confirmed the crime is being treated as a racially aggravated attack and appealed for witnesses or anyone with CCTV/dashcam footage to come forward. The incident has heightened community concern, coming weeks after the racially aggravated rape of a British Sikh woman in nearby Oldbury. Police stated they are not currently linking the two attacks.
