Dublin: The National Lottery has confirmed that the sole winning ticket for last night’s €17 million EuroMillions jackpot was sold in Ireland, making one lucky player the country’s newest multimillionaire. The winner has yet to come forward, prompting an urgent appeal for all players to meticulously check their tickets.
The National Lottery announced the winning ticket was the only one across all nine participating European countries to match all required numbers.
The Triumphant Numbers
The winning combination for the main draw was:
- Main Numbers: 07, 25, 30, 37, 41
- Lucky Stars: 05, 11
Double Irish Luck in Plus Draw
Further good fortune struck Ireland in the supplementary EuroMillions Plus draw, where the top prize of €500,000 was also secured by an Irish player. The winning numbers for the Plus draw were 11, 16, 31, 35, 38.
The exact location of the winning main jackpot ticket is yet to be disclosed but is typically revealed by the National Lottery shortly after the draw.
A Nation of Lottery Millionaires
This latest win adds another chapter to Ireland’s remarkable history in the EuroMillions game:
- Ireland’s Record: The country’s biggest ever win—and one of the world’s largest—was a staggering €250 million scooped by a player in the Munster region last June.
- Pioneering Winner: The nation’s first EuroMillions success was in July 2005, when Dolores McNamara claimed a prize exceeding €115 million.
- Other Big Claims: Notable past winners include a Dublin player who secured over €93 million in June 2013 and an online player who won €49.5 million in July 2020.
The National Lottery encourages the winner to sign the back of their ticket and contact the claims department as soon as possible.
