DUBLIN 17 – A man in his 40s was hospitalized following an assault at a home in the Donaghmede area of north Dublin on Wednesday evening.

Gardaí have launched an investigation into the incident, which occurred in Dublin 17. The victim was transported to Beaumont Hospital for treatment; his injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

In connection with the assault, a male juvenile, aged in his teens, was arrested and detained at a North Dublin Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
