CAVAN, IRELAND — The location of the shop that sold the winning €17 million EuroMillions Quick Pick ticket from Friday’s draw has been unveiled as a Lidl store in Cavan town.

The winning ticket, which has created Ireland’s newest millionaire, was purchased at the Lidl store at Creighton on the Athlone Road in Cavan town on the day of the draw, just hours before the lucky numbers came up.

However, the lucky punter has yet to come forward to claim the life-changing prize. The National Lottery has issued an urgent appeal to all players who bought tickets in Cavan to check them immediately.

A lottery spokeswoman confirmed: “The National Lottery can confirm that the winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the draw. The winner, who now has a ticket worth €17 million, is yet to come forward.”

The winner is advised to:

  • Sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe.
  • Contact the National Lottery Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email ei.yrettolobfsctd-64249e@smialc to make arrangements to collect the massive amount.

The National Lottery is now urging all EuroMillions players in the Cavan area to check their tickets carefully, as they could be the holder of the winning fortune.
