Dublin: Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for six counties, primarily in Ireland’s southeast region. The national forecaster has warned residents and travelers of difficult conditions, including the potential for localized flooding and poor visibility.
The alert covers the counties of Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, and Waterford. The warning became effective at midnight yesterday and is set to remain in place until midday today.
Met Éireann advises that the persistent rain could lead to difficult travel conditions due to reduced visibility and the risk of localised flooding. Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution on the roads.
