Prominent Indian Restaurant Owner from Kerala Passes Away in Ireland

Wexford, Ireland: The Indian hospitality sector in Wexford, Ireland, is mourning the loss of a prominent community figure following the passing of Biju Varavunkal (53), the owner of the renowned Holy Grail restaurant. He passed away yesterday morning due to a sudden cardiac arrest.

Mr. Varavunkal was an active presence in the Indian community and the proprietor of the Holy Grail restaurant, located in Enniscorthy, Wexford. He was a native of the Varavunkal family from Chittanappara, Bharananganam, Pala, Kerala.

The tragedy occurred yesterday morning after Mr. Varavunkal returned home following his regular exercise routine at the gym. He suffered a cardiac arrest immediately upon his return. Despite immediate assistance from the medical team, his life could not be saved.

The body has been moved to the mortuary at Waterford Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Bindu, and children, Ashwin and Archana.
