A Status Yellow rain warning issued by Met Éireann is currently in effect for four counties: Clare, Kerry, Galway, and Mayo.

The warning commenced at 8:00 PM last night and is scheduled to remain in place until 8:00 PM this evening.

Forecast Details and Impacts

The national forecaster has warned that persistent rain is expected, which will be heavy at times. This may lead to:

  • Localised flooding.
  • Difficult travel conditions.
  • Poor visibility for motorists.

General Weather Outlook

  • Regional Rain: The day will be mostly dull and blustery, with outbreaks of rain continuing throughout the day and into the night, particularly in parts of Munster and south Leinster.
  • Drier Areas: Elsewhere, conditions will be generally drier with clear spells and isolated showers.
  • Winds & Temperature: Winds will be light to moderate southerly, strengthening to fresh to strong southwest winds. It will be quite mild, with highest temperatures ranging from $13^\circ C$ to $16^\circ C$.
