DUBLIN, IRELAND – Gardaí have successfully executed an operation resulting in the arrest of 11 men who were wanted under international arrest warrants for a range of serious offences.
The arrests took place between November 3rd and 5th across the counties of Dublin, Cavan, Meath, and Monaghan. The operation was spearheaded by the Garda Extradition Unit, with key support from other sections of the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
The men are being sought for crimes committed in various foreign jurisdictions, including Northern Ireland, Poland, Romania, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Germany, and Lithuania.
The High Court proceedings now await the 11 men, who are wanted on suspicion of offences including:
- Attempted Murder
- Human Trafficking
- Kidnapping
- Supply of Drugs
- Facilitation of Illegal Immigration
- Theft and Road Traffic Offences
This operation highlights the ongoing cooperation between the Gardaí and international law enforcement agencies in tackling transnational crime.
