CORK, IRELAND: The Malayali community in Ireland is in mourning following the tragic death of a young man in a road accident in County Cork. Joyce Thomas (34), a staff member at Ballincurig Care Centre, passed away in the early hours of Friday.
The Incident: The accident occurred near Conna while Joyce was returning home after finishing his work shift. His car reportedly veered off the road and plunged into a river. Emergency services were alerted, but unfortunately, his life could not be saved.
About Joyce: Originally hailing from Idukki, Kerala, Joyce and his family were residing in the Fermoy area of Cork. He was a dedicated healthcare worker and well-regarded in the local community. He is survived by his wife and two young children.
Arrangements are being made to repatriate the body or conduct the final rites, which will be announced later. The local GardaĆ are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
