UK Train Stabbing: Multiple Injuries, Two Arrested

Cambridge, UK: Multiple people were stabbed on a train in Cambridgeshire, UK, on Saturday evening. Authorities have confirmed that the train was stopped and two individuals were arrested in connection with the incident.

The train was halted at Huntingdon, where the injured were admitted to the hospital. Cambridgeshire Constabulary stated that their officers are working closely with the British Transport Police (BTP).

“We were called at 7:39 pm (local time) with reports of multiple people being stabbed on a train,” said Cambridgeshire Constabulary in a statement. “Armed officers attended, the train was stopped at Huntingdon where two people were arrested. Multiple people have been taken to the hospital.”

The British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed that officers immediately responded to the incident involving “multiple people being stabbed” on a train heading to Huntingdon.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the “appalling incident” and urged the public to follow police advice. “The appalling incident on a train near Huntingdon is deeply concerning.
