The Indian community in Sligo is coming together to support the family of a local man who died suddenly this week.

Aneesh T P, aged 41, was found dead at his home in Geevagh, Sligo on August 14th. Originally from Thiruvalla in Kerala, India, Aneesh had been living in the area and working at Cloonamahon disability service for several years.

His remains will be reposed tomorrow, August 17th, at Nazareth House Chapel in Sligo. The Indian community in Sligo is organizing tribute events to honor his memory.

Gardaí are currently investigating the cause of his sudden death. Sources say Aneesh had been living away from his family for the past few years.

The local Indian community is now working to arrange the return of Aneesh’s body to India. This follows a request from his family in Kerala who want him to be laid to rest in his homeland.

A GoFundMe page is being set up to help cover funeral expenses and the costs of repatriating his body to India. The community hopes to ease the financial burden on his grieving family during this difficult time.

The sudden loss has deeply affected the tight-knit Indian community in Sligo. Many knew Aneesh through his work with disabled people and his involvement in local community activities. Friends remember him as a true gentleman who was always willing to help others.
