Dublin: The fifth national conference of Kranti, a left-wing progressive cultural organization in Ireland, concluded successfully at Sitaram Yechury Nagar, Dublin. The event saw the election of new leadership, with Ajay C. Shaji assuming the role of Secretary and Anoop John as President. The conference was inaugurated by Ruth Coppinger, Member of Parliament and leader of the Socialist Party, who emphasized the need for left-wing unity in combating the rising far-right forces and addressing global military aggression. She also lauded Kranti’s efforts in organizing migrant workers.
The event began with the flag hoisting ceremony conducted by senior member Rajan Devasya. Central Committee President Manoj Mannath welcomed the participants, followed by the presentation of key resolutions. Dublin North Unit Secretary Pranab Kumar introduced the martyrdom resolution, and Central Committee Member Naveen K. S. presented the condolence resolution.
Reports on Kranti’s activities, constitutional amendments, and financial statements were presented by Central Committee Secretary Shinith A.K. and Treasurer John Chacko, respectively. The conference also unanimously approved three major resolutions:
- Resisting the Extreme Right Wing, presented by Central Vice President Melba Siju.
- Palestinian Unity, presented by Central Committee Member Shaju Jose.
- Urgent Government Intervention to Solve Ireland’s Housing Crisis, presented by Secretary Ajay C. Shaji.
Following discussions on the reports and constitutional amendments, the conference approved them after responses from the Secretary. A 19-member panel was also confirmed for the next two years.

Central Committee Members: Pranab Kumar, Robin Joseph, Vineesh V.K., Jithin Rashid, Rahul Raveendran, Fivin Thomas, Sajeev Narayan, Shinith A.K., Varghese Joy, Jeevan Madappat, Shijimon Kacheriyil, Raju George, Shaju Jose, and Abhilash Thomas.
The Presidium, consisting of Jeevan Madappat, Pranab Kumar, and Jiji George, oversaw the conference proceedings. Greetings were delivered by Varghese Joy, Executive Member of the Association of Indian Communists (AIC); Binu Thomas, AIC Working Committee Member; Anumol Lins, Kairali UK National Committee Member; and Shaju Jose, Lok Kerala Sabha Member.
Newly elected Secretary Ajay C. Shaji expressed gratitude for the support and pledged to continue advancing Kranti’s progressive mission.
