In the early hours of this morning, multiple cars were destroyed in a suspected arson attack in Sligo, marking the second such incident in recent weeks. The fire occurred in the St. Joseph’s Terrace area, prompting a swift response from both the fire service and Gardaí.

Emergency crews managed to bring the blaze under control, but several vehicles were completely burnt out. Authorities are yet to confirm whether nearby homes sustained any damage during the incident.

The Gardaí have launched a formal investigation and are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in identifying those responsible. Residents or witnesses are encouraged to contact Sligo Garda Station with details.

This latest arson attack is not believed to be connected to a similar incident that took place last week in the Emmet Place area. However, the repeated occurrences of such events have raised concerns among local residents about community safety.

Further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
