A status yellow fog warning has been issued for Sligo, Leitrim, and large parts of the country, impacting travel and safety. The alert extends across the remainder of Connacht, as well as Cavan, Monaghan, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, and all of Munster.

The warning, issued by Met Éireann, will remain in effect until midday, with dense fog reducing visibility significantly in affected areas. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, as hazardous driving conditions are expected.

Motorists should reduce speed, use fog lights where necessary, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles to ensure safety on the roads during this period. Residents in the affected regions are urged to stay updated on weather developments throughout the morning.

Stay safe and monitor Met Éireann’s official channels for further updates.
