Famous TV judge Frank Caprio has died at age 88. He passed away after fighting pancreatic cancer.

Caprio worked as a judge in Rhode Island for 40 years. He became famous for being kind and funny in his courtroom. The judge always tried to understand people’s personal problems before making decisions.

His TV show “Caught in Providence” made him a star. Videos of his court cases got billions of views online. People called him the “nicest judge in the world.”

Caprio had 3.4 million followers on Instagram. His family announced his death on the social media platform. They remembered him for his warmth and belief in people’s goodness.

The judge’s courtroom style was unique. He would let children sit with him during cases. He even made a stuffed toy version of himself called “mini-judge.”

One TikTok video showing his morning routine got over 5 million views. It showed him brushing his teeth and watching his own TV show.

His show “Caught in Providence” was nominated for three Emmy awards. Caprio got two personal nominations last year.

He was diagnosed with cancer in 2023. In his last social media posts, he asked followers for prayers during his treatment.

Caprio leaves behind his wife Joyce of nearly 60 years. He also has five children, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
