In a tragic incident, a 67-year-old Irish tourist has lost his life after falling from a balcony at a luxury hotel in Pattaya, Thailand. The Department of Foreign Affairs is actively providing consular assistance to the bereaved family during this difficult time.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday at one of Pattaya’s upscale accommodations, located in the renowned beach resort area on the Gulf of Thailand, approximately 150 km southeast of Bangkok. Authorities have confirmed that the man’s body has been transported to a local hospital and will soon be handed over to his relatives.

Thai police have initiated a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal fall. Pattaya, a hub for international tourists, is now under scrutiny to ensure the safety of its visitors.
