DUBLIN – The National Lottery has confirmed a historic win for an Irish player who has become the country’s first-ever top prize winner in the EuroDreams game. The lucky player will receive a tax-free payment of €20,000 every month for the next 30 years, amounting to a life-changing total of €7.2 million.
The winning ticket matched all six numbers and the all-important Dream number in the Monday night draw. The winning numbers were 1, 3, 5, 11, 20, 31, with the Dream number 5. The National Lottery has not yet released the location where the winning ticket was sold, but has confirmed that another Irish player also secured a significant prize of €2,000 per month for five years, a total of €120,000.
National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer described the win as a “dream double-win for Ireland” and a “historic moment” for the National Lottery. “To have our very first EuroDreams top prize winner is truly historic, €20,000 a month for 30 years is a life-changing prize! We’re encouraging all our players to check their tickets, as you could be one of Ireland’s latest big winners,” he said.
EuroDreams, a draw-based game, is played across eight European countries: Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland. Draws are held every Monday and Thursday.
