Nycin Thomas Passed Away in Sligo; Funeral on March 16th

Sligo: Nycin Thomas (38), a Dialysis Nurse at Sligo University Hospital, has passed away. The funeral will be held on Monday, March 16th, at 2:00 PM at Saint Brigid’s Church, Corhownagh, Ballisodare, Co. Sligo (F91RH70).

Public viewing will be held on Sunday, March 15th, from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Seán Feehily’s Funeral Home, Cartron Cross, Sligo (F91EH98).

The deceased is a member of the Maliyekal Chettakkal family from Chalakkudy. She is survived by her husband: Albin Sebastian Sratel (Nurse, Sligo University Hospital); children: Nethan Sebastian Sratel and Thomas David Sratel; father: C.A. Thomas; mother: Shobha Thomas; and siblings: Serin Thomas (Nurse, Australia) and Angel Thomas (Ireland).

Nycin completed her nursing degree from Goutham College of Nursing in Bangalore. She had previously served at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune, the Ministry of Health in Oman, and Sonas Nursing Home in Enniscrone, Ireland.

Condolences have been expressed by the Indian Association of Sligo, the Malayali Association Sligo, St Thomas Syro-Malabar Church Sligo, St Thomas Indian Orthodox Church Sligo, Emmanuel Gospel Mission Church Sligo, Marthashmooni Jacobite Church Sligo, and the North West Hindu Cultural Society.
