DUBLIN – Luas services in Dublin are facing significant disruption this morning following a major power fault affecting both the Green and Red lines.

Luas operator Transdev has confirmed technicians are currently on-site and working systematically to identify the source of the fault, which is believed to be causing the widespread service issues.

Affected Services

  • Green Line: There is currently no service operating between Sandyford and Broombridge.
  • Red Line: The service is suspended between Smithfield and The Point/Connolly.

Luas operator Transdev apologized for the inconvenience caused to commuters. To mitigate the impact, Luas tickets are being accepted on Dublin Bus services for the duration of this disruption.

The power fault has also resulted in knock-on effects, causing traffic delays across Dublin city and necessitating diversions for a number of Dublin Bus services on Nassau Street.
