WESTMEATH, IRELAND — A lottery player in County Westmeath has become a multi-millionaire overnight after winning the €6,241,505 Lotto jackpot in Wednesday night’s draw.

This marks the ninth Lotto jackpot winner of 2025 and the 26th National Lottery millionaire created this year.

The win is particularly remarkable as it is the second major prize to land in Westmeath this week, following a local player securing the EuroDreams tier two prize worth €2,000 a month for five years on Monday.

Winning Details:

  • Jackpot Prize: €6,241,505
  • Winning Numbers: 4, 21, 23, 27, 34, 38 (Bonus: 37)
  • Ticket Location Reveal: The store location where the jackpot ticket was purchased will be announced on Friday.

Cork Player Also Wins Big: Elsewhere, a player in Cork is celebrating a significant win, matching five numbers and the bonus to secure €122,669. This Quick Pick ticket was purchased on December 2nd from Broderick’s Shop, Shanagarry Cross, Midleton, Co. Cork.

National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer urged all players in Westmeath and Cork to check their tickets immediately. “We’re thrilled to announce Ireland’s newest millionaire… This is an extraordinary week of big wins for our players!” he said.

Winning ticket holders are advised to contact the National Lottery prize claims team to arrange collection.
