DUBLIN: May Day, celebrated worldwide to honor workers and their contributions, is set to be commemorated on a grand scale in Ireland. The left-wing cultural organization Kranti is organizing a large International Workers’ Day event to recognize labor rights and achievements.

Kerala’s Minister for Local Government, Excise, and Parliamentary Affairs, M B Rajesh, will be the chief guest at the celebration, scheduled for May 2. The event will take place at the O’Loughlin Gael GAA Club in Kilkenny.

May 1, observed as Workers’ Day in approximately 80 countries, serves as a tribute to the dedication and resilience of the working class. Kranti Ireland’s central committee has announced that further details of the celebrations will be released soon.
