In a significant development for the Malayali community in Ireland, Kranthi’s 8th unit has officially started operations in Limerick. This new unit has quickly gained recognition among the Diaspora Malayalis due to its active involvement in addressing social issues both in Ireland and Kerala. The inauguration event marked a momentous occasion for the community, reflecting Kranthi’s growing influence and commitment.

Kranthi National Secretary Shinith AK inaugurated the 8th unit during a well-attended ceremony at the Des Mont Complex in Newcastle West. The event was presided over by Kranthi Joint Secretary Anoop John, highlighting the importance of this new unit in Limerick.

Waterford Unit Secretary KS Naveen delivered the welcome speech, setting a positive tone for the event. Following this, Bobby Mathew gave an enthusiastic address, welcoming the attendees and emphasizing the unit’s goals. The ceremony concluded with Phivin Thomas offering a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all involved in establishing the new unit.

A significant milestone of the event was the election of an eleven-member unit committee, tasked with steering the Limerick unit forward. In the first meeting of the Unit Committee, Phivin Thomas was elected as the Unit Secretary, Bobby Mathew as the Joint Secretary, and Mahesh Pallath as the Treasurer. These appointments are expected to bring strong leadership and direction to the new unit.

Kranthi has already made a notable impact within a short period, thanks to its proactive approach to social issues. The unit aims to serve as a platform for the Malayali community in Ireland, addressing their concerns and fostering a sense of unity. The committee members have expressed their commitment to making a positive difference both locally and in Kerala.
