A Roscommon councillor is calling for the introduction of morning and evening commuter trains between Longford and Sligo to meet growing demand.

Sean Moylan emphasizes the urgent need for these additional services, stating that many people rely on them for work, college, and hospital appointments in Sligo.

He is urging Iarnród Éireann and the National Transport Authority to take immediate action to provide the extra trains. According to Moylan, the demand is evident, and better transport options are essential for the region.
