A specific batch of Dairy Farm vanilla ice cream sold in Lidl stores has been recalled following reports of a “chemical smell and/or taste.”

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) issued the recall alert on Friday, advising consumers not to consume the affected product. The recall applies to 1-litre tubs of Dairy Farm vanilla ice cream bearing the approval number IE 1065 EC, batch code L24356B, and a best before date of June 2026.

Point-of-sale recall notices will be prominently displayed in Lidl outlets. Customers who have purchased the product are encouraged to return it to any Lidl store for a full refund.

The FSAI emphasized that the recall is a precautionary measure to protect consumers and ensure food safety
