Sligo manager Tony McEntee has announced two changes to his starting lineup for Sunday’s Connacht Senior Football Championship showdown against Mayo. The adjustments come following Sligo’s recent Division 3 win over Leitrim.

Canice Mulligan and Ross Doherty are set to return to the starting fifteen, replacing Paul Kilcoyne and Cian Lally. Both Mulligan and Doherty bring valuable experience as Sligo aim to upset Mayo and secure their first Championship victory over them since 2010.

Sunday’s fixture carries extra intrigue with two Mayo natives, Joe Keane of Crossmolina and Kevin McLoughlin of Knockmore, playing key roles in the Mayo management setup.

The highly anticipated game will be broadcast live, sponsored by Moran’s Pharmacy, New Antrim Street, Castlebar. Commentary will be provided by Stephen Grealis and Martin Carney from Hastings Insurance MacHale Park. Throw-in is scheduled for 3:30pm.

Sligo Starting XV:

  • Daniel Lyons – Shamrock Gaels
  • Evan Lyons – Shamrock Gaels
  • Eddie McGuinness – Tubbercurry
  • Paul McNamara – St. John’s
  • Brian Cox – Calry St. Joseph’s
  • Nathan Mullen – Coolaney Mullinabreena
  • Luke Towey – St. Molaise Gaels
  • Canice Mulligan – St. Pat’s
  • Paddy O’Connor – Kilmacud Crokes (Dublin)
  • Ross Doherty – Coolera Strandhill
  • David Quinn – Shamrock Gaels
  • Alan Reilly – Curry
  • Alan McLoughlin – St. Molaise Gaels
  • Niall Murphy – Coolera Strandhill
  • Pat Spillane – St. Jude’s (Dublin)
