Man Dies After Assault in Co. Tipperary; Woman Arrested

A woman in her 20s has been arrested by Gardaí following the death of a man after a serious assault in County Tipperary last night.

Emergency services were called to a residence in Carrick-on-Suir at approximately 11:00 PM following an incident. Upon arrival, the man was found unresponsive. Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, he was later pronounced dead.

The woman arrested in connection with the incident, who is in her 20s, is currently being held at a Garda station in County Tipperary for questioning.

The scene at the residence has been preserved for a forensic examination by Garda Technical Bureau. The man’s body remains at the location pending the arrival of the Office of the State Pathologist. A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course to determine the precise cause of death.
