Gardaí in Sligo have launched an investigation following the theft of two vehicles and an attempted theft of a third during a single night.

The incidents took place between Sunday night and Monday morning across Sligo town. In addition to the two successfully stolen cars, a third vehicle was tampered with in what appears to have been a failed theft attempt.

Gardaí are currently treating the incidents as linked and are appealing to the public for assistance. They are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the town area during the overnight period.

Property owners and motorists with dash-cam or CCTV footage from Sunday night into Monday morning are urged to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sligo Garda Station on 071 915 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any local Garda station.

What’s Next: Gardaí are continuing to review surveillance footage from the affected areas. No descriptions of the stolen vehicles have been publicly released by investigators at this time.
