Sligo native Patrick Ward has debuted “Yeats Irish Whiskey” at Dublin’s Abbey Theatre, launching a limited-edition series inspired by the poetry and landscapes of W.B. Yeats.

The inaugural release, The Lake Isle of Innisfree, is a premium blend of grain and malt whiskeys matured for 5 to 7 years. The expression features a rare Ruby Port cask finish, designed to evoke the refined tastes of the poet’s era.

Key Highlights:

  • Limited Edition: Only 4,000 individually numbered bottles are available worldwide.
  • The Blend: Comprised of 90% grain, 9% malt, and a 1% peated malt touch for depth.
  • Heritage: Conceived in Co. Sligo, the project evolved over a decade before its late 2025 completion.
  • Future Plans: This is the first of a series; a collector’s trilogy box set is planned following future poetic releases.
