New Irish citizens will take their oath of loyalty at ceremonies in Dublin this September.

The ceremonies will happen on Monday, September 15th and Tuesday, September 16th, 2025. They will take place at the Convention Centre in Dublin.

People invited to the ceremonies should not contact officials asking about their invitation status. The invitations will be sent out when ready.

Everyone attending must bring proper ID documents on the day. A valid passport works best for proving identity. If you don’t have a passport, bring another form of official ID instead.

During the ceremony, new citizens will take an oath of fidelity to Ireland. This is a promise to be loyal to the Irish nation.

The actual citizenship certificates will not be given out at the ceremony. Instead, they will be mailed to people’s homes by registered post after the event.

This is an important step for people who have been waiting to become Irish citizens. The ceremonies mark the final stage of their naturalization process.
