A man in his 40s has been arrested after causing extensive damage to a section of Dublin Airport following a missed flight.

Video footage circulating on social media captures the man, who was shirtless with a partially covered face, vandalizing structures near a departure gate in Terminal 1.

In a statement, Dublin Airport Authority (daa) confirmed that the passenger had arrived at the airport intoxicated. After missing his flight, he proceeded to cause “significant damage” before being swiftly apprehended by Airport Police and later arrested by gardaí.
