Man (20s) Dies After ‘Firearms Incident’ in Rural Carlow

Dublin: A man in his early 20s has died following a firearms incident in a rural area near Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow.

Gardaí were called to the scene late yesterday evening, Tuesday, 2 December.

In a statement, a spokesperson confirmed: “A male aged in his early 20s sustained fatal injuries. The scene is currently held for technical examination.

Gardaí have confirmed that enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
